The above actions led to the current Statewide Task Force on Best Academic Practice Models for Black Students.
The Youngstown/Mahoning County Unit #3207 Template was used to identify the top ten Best Academic Practice Model Schools/Districts in Ohio.
This work forged a historic collaboration and Task Force between the NAACP Ohio State Conference, the Ohio Department of Education, and Ohio State Board of Education.
Unit presidents, education chairs, and strategic partners will have access to Best Academic Practice Models for Black Students.
Best Academic Practice Models for Black Students will provide a framework to align thinking around features of leadership and teaching strategies that get results.
Best Academic Practice Models for Black Students will empower unit presidents and education chairs and give access to models of excellence to advocate on behalf of Black and all other children.
Reach consensus around the need to disrupt the status quo (or a need for dramatic change) with a greater sense of urgency
Establish a committed national team/staff on Best Academic Practice Models for Black students
Reach consensus of (characteristics/criteria) high/low academically performing schools/ districts
