Biography

Carla James has over 20 years of experience in education and community service. A Master-level Family Life Educator, she earned her degree from Western Michigan University. Carla currently serves as the Regional Coordinator for NAMI’s Parent Advocacy Connection, where she supports and advocates for families of children with disabilities and special needs.

In addition to her professional work, Carla chairs the Education Committee, with a strong focus on ensuring justice and equity for marginalized communities. Passionate about creating positive change, she is dedicated to helping individuals and families access the resources and support they need to thrive.
