Thomas A. Tatum is the founder and principal of The Tatum Endeavor Group, LLC. Born in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, Thomas developed a passion for community development and social change early in his life. He is a 1983 graduate of Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University), where he earned his undergraduate degree.
Shortly after graduating, he was selected as a Teaching Mission Intern at the Africa Literature Centre in Kitwe, Zambia, where he gained valuable international experience and deepened his commitment to global education and cultural exchange.
In 1991, Thomas earned a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Akron, further enhancing his expertise in urban development and community-based initiatives. Over the years, he has applied his education and experiences to lead successful projects and programs focused on economic development, urban revitalization, and social equity. Through The Tatum Endeavor Group, LLC, Thomas has consulted for numerous organizations, offering strategic guidance and innovative solutions to help communities thrive. His professional journey reflects a steadfast dedication to improving urban landscapes and advocating for underserved populations.
